This World War II escort carrier has come about after I was lucky enough to work on the production model for Deans Marines, HMS Fencer escort carrier. As I am building an American class destroyer, the obvious road for me to go down was to build a highly detailed 1/96th scale model boat (Uss Barnes), that was captained by Captain Glover during World War II. It was used to escort and train new airmen in conflict.

Aircraft at 1/100th scale have been sourced as far away as China (with the help of Deans Marines). This fully detailed model boat boasts amongst many things, state of the art brass etchings and resin/white metal fittings. 

To give you some idea of how long this model boat is, it's 63 inches.
