The USS Kidd, named for Rear Admiral Isaac C. Kidd, fought in the Pacific Campaign of World War II and was recommissioned during the Korean War to bomb targets of opportunity. Today, the USS Kidd is harbored in the Mississippi River just offshore from downtown. Visitors can step aboard the Fletcher-class battleship to see a piece of living history..

This World War II American Fletcher class destroyer is finished. The hull being used in this construction is a master made some 20 years ago and passed on through the family tree, when the original kit was built by Deans Marines. I have been lucky enough to work under the guidance of Deans Marines whilst he re-develops an already outstanding kit, using the latest moldings and brass etched materials to produce what is a first class model. And for a period of time the first and only re-developed kit on the water.

And as you can see from the video above this model boat looks (at least that's what I think) absolutely fantastic on the water.

This model boat was on display at the Nurenburg show in January 2008.

Uss Kidd has been sold. Click here to see what the customer had to say regarding this model.
